APPOINTMENT PURPOSE

Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, or OMT, is a set of hands-on techniques used by osteopathic physicians (DOs) to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. During an OMT session, Dr. Carine uses techniques such as stretching, gentle pressure, and resistance to move a patient's muscles and joints.

Occasionally these OMT visits can include a brief, simple discussion, however, in-depth discussions should be arranged for another day.  Dr. Carine needs to focus her attention on the needs of your child, both interactively and osteopathically to ensure he or she receives the best care possible.

SCHEDULING

Osteopathic Manipulation Treatments (OMT) are scheduled into 20-minute time slots.

Dr. Carine is the only practitioner in our office who can perform OMT for our patients. Therefore, it is prudent to schedule OMT in advance, as her schedule is routinely full 6-8 weeks in advance.
